About Bri
Brianna Vigorito, also known as Bri, was born in Lincoln Park, NJ, and fell in love with dance as soon as she could walk. She was accepted into Morris County School of Technology for Visual and Performing Arts in 2014 where she is currently studying dance and theater. Brianna has trained in numerous styles specializing in ballet, jazz, contemporary, and modern, particularly Horton and Limón. She especially loves sharp, direct movement and her choreography often exemplifies a quirky flair. After school, she trains with New Jersey Dance Theater Ensemble where she has performed many works including pieces choreographed by Nancy Turano, Kate Skarpetowska, Elizabeth Koeppen, David Parsons, and Lar Lubovitch. Brianna has had the honor of dancing in and choreographing pieces for performances including VPA’s Backstage is Onstage and May Dance dance annual concerts, NJDTE’s Nutcracker, Ballet de Primavera, and Impressions III in NYC’s Symphony Space. Brianna is a member of National Dance Honor Society, has been nominated for the Governor’s Award in dance, and has collaborated on Halls of Ivy, a dance video that won Capturing Motion NYC award at Lincoln Center.
In addition to dance, acting and theater holds a place in Brianna’s heart. Brianna has been a part of productions including Footloose, Stardust, and The Government Inspector and currently studies at New Jersey School of Dramatic Arts. Brianna has ranked “superior” in NJ Thespian Festival and was winner of the 2016 Regional Poetry Out Loud competition. Brianna will be happy wherever life leads her as long as she is able to be performing and creating art.She hopes to pursue a double major in Dance and English and aspires to find herself in a modern dance company or on Broadway in the future.
